Lenka Srnanská

My name is Andrea Golembiovská, and I am writing on behalf of my sister, Lenka. Lenka was born with diagnoses of cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, and epilepsy. As a child, she practiced the Vojta method, attended the Rehabilitation Center in Krasňany, and underwent several rehabilitation stays in Kováčová and Čilistov.

She has had a difficult leg surgery and also multiple surgeries for a ventriculoperitoneal shunt that drains excess fluid from her brain into her abdominal cavity. Her mother sacrificed her entire life for her. She cared for her with incredible love and patience until treacherous cancer took her from us. Lenka was 12 years old at the time and found this loss very difficult to bear. But she had no choice but to come to terms with it.

Since DMD is an incurable diagnosis, but its consequences can be mitigated and a person affected by this diagnosis can improve their quality of life through various exercises and other methods, I would be extremely happy if we could collect the amount needed for a rehabilitation stay at ADELI Medical Centre.
