It was the end of January 2018. Timea was a diabetic, so her pregnancy was under strict supervision. Despite this, her breathing worsened, followed by a transfer to the hospital, and „from there, they only called us at night to say she had a cardiac arrest." Although they managed to revive Timea, for over 7 years  I'm in a coma. The baby had to be delivered, she was a girl, she only lived for one day...“

A new life, a new routine began in the entire family. Timea's husband, their 9-year-old son Marcus, her parents, and siblings all awaited her at home – everyone believed, hoped, and waited for what the next day would bring. There were no good news from the hospital; there was nothing more that could be done medically. It was necessary to arrange her transfer from the hospital relatively quickly. Her husband had to go to work and take care of their son. Her parents didn't feel confident about providing the specialized care their daughter needed in a waking coma. Therefore, they decided on a facility where, every day  were running out. „And every day I learned new medical procedures. How to handle the tracheostomy and PEG tube, how to help our wonderful daughter without hurting her. We had a family meeting at home and made a clear decision: we'll bring Timejka home. It always broke our hearts when we had to leave her. We love her,“ wipes away tears the brave mom Klára, who along with her husband  For 6 years, I've been home with my daughter nonstop. „What more can we do for her than have her by our side? It's difficult, but we've had to get used to talking to her and not getting a response. Our daughter doesn't tell us anything. Sometimes we feel like she perceives us, other times not.“

Time's husband stops by his in-laws after work, luckily they live close to each other. He always stays with his wife until the evening after work. Their son Marcus has grown up, he's a high school student and had to  accept the fact that mom lies still...

But as if that weren't enough, fate  He's not too merciful to this family.  Mama Klára is an oncology patient. She is currently a few months past chemotherapy and is cautiously happy that the diagnosis has not progressed. „It's not about me, but I need to live for Timea. So I can take care of her. It will be okay, it has to be.“

Timea is an economics engineer. She completed her university studies while working and building a house. She was able to organize and handle everything; she was an incredibly action-oriented and kind-hearted person.  She was looking forward to her garden at home, to an ordinary, relaxed life.  Today? Trach, peg, bed, and during the day, a reclining wheelchair. That's a big step. „After morning hygiene, we always put her in the wheelchair, I move her to the kitchen, and we cook „together.“ I comment on everything for her, evaluate it, describe it. She reacts the most to the blender; the sound bothers her and makes her cry.".  When the weather permits, we go into the yard together and take a nap. Our daughter is always with us.“

A rehabilitation stay at ADELI can only be afforded once a year. But thanks to this, Timea „doesn't have twisted hands, her body doesn't deform. Everyone praises how beautiful she is. Smooth skin, no bedsores. I have to say, it's primarily my wife's doing. I have incredible women by my side, both severely tested, but great. At ADELI, always  “We carefully observe what the therapists do with her, so that we can try it at home," says father Zoltán.
